Professor Brian Cox will record a special edition of BBC Radio 4's The Infinite Monkey Cage at this year's Glastonbury festival.

The former D:Ream member will be joined by alternative rock musician Billy Bragg for the show, which will be broadcast on June 27 following the closing night of the festival.

The Infinite Monkey Cage is a comedy programme presented by Cox and comedian Robin Ince where they discuss the world according to science in a quest to place the subject at the heart of popular culture.

The fourth series of the show started on May 30 following its win in the 'Best Speech Programme' category at this year's Sony Radio Awards.

This year's Glastonbury festival will take place between June 24 and June 26 and will include headline performances from U2, Coldplay and Beyoncé.
