The film, titled Talihina Sky: The Story of Kings of Leon, received its world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York back in April.
It has now been confirmed that the film will get its UK debut on June 25 at the Edinburgh Film Festival - as well as being shown at 150 cinemas nationwide - and include a Q&A from the band.
Directed by Stephen C. Mitchell, the movie tells the story of the band's upbringing in Nashville. It has been described by Mitchell as a "fascinating insight for fans and non-fans" alike.
Kings of Leon will play a number of outdoor shows across the UK this summer with special guests Paul Weller and White Lies.
The band will also perform a headline set at this weekend's Isle of Wight festival.
