The 25-year-old performer, who set a global record for the fastest-selling album of 2011 with her new record Born This Way, revealed that she is constantly thinking about new songs, especially as she is about to fall asleep.
"I just have to [write songs]. Sometimes in the middle of night when I'm falling asleep I have a lot of ideas, then wake up and record them into my phone and send it to my producers and then I fall asleep," GaGa told The Paul O'Grady Show.
The 'Judas' singer is currently preparing to film the music video for her new single 'The Edge of Glory', which will be directed by Joseph Khan.
The Paul O'Grady Lady GaGa Special airs this Friday at 9pm on ITV1.
