The 30-year-old, who is currently serving as a judge alongside Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine on NBC's The Voice, has lent her vocals to the group's next single, which is due to be released in the US next week.
As well as releasing the collaboration to iTunes, both artists will take to the stage on the June 21 instalment of The Voice to perform the track live for the first time.
'Moves Like Jagger' was recorded in Los Angeles last month and has been described as quintessential Maroon 5 power pop with an upbeat tune, reports The AP.
Levine remarked that it was "great" to work with Aguilera, while the 'Beautiful' star branded the collaboration a "wonderful opportunity".
Maroon 5 recently revealed plans to emulate Queen and U2 for their upcoming US tour, which kicks off on July 22.
It is not the first collaboration Aguilera has undertaken with a fellow Voice judge. Last month a duet between the singer and Cee Lo Green, titled 'Nasty', appeared online.
