The singer and Voice coach was forced to apologise earlier this year after messing up the lyrics to 'The Star-Spangled Banner', which she sang during the opening of the worldwide sporting event.
Aguilera revealed in an interview with W Magazine that she was "having a moment" when she made the mistake but insisted that she took the incident in her stride and was even able to laugh at herself after.
"Everything on the field at the Super Bowl was vividly bright, and I was having a moment," she explained. "I got lost in the emotion of being there and I messed up the lyrics to the song.
"I went to dinner after the Super Bowl with [boyfriend] Matt [Rutler] and I laughed about how I'd made myself into a Trivial Pursuit question - 'In 2011 what female singer flubbed the lyrics to the national anthem?'"
Aguilera also discussed her marriage to ex-husband Jordan Bratman, revealing that the two "weren't angels" while together.
