The 29-year-old performer will debut the promo on June 22 at 6am ET (11am GMT) on MTV, allowing it to qualify for this year's MTV Video Music Awards in August.
'I Wanna Go' is the third song to be lifted from Spears's Femme Fatale album and was written by long-time collaborators Max Martin, Shellback and Savan Kotecha.
The singer filmed the video at the end of May, with sources close to the set describing the clip as "very personality and action-driven" rather than heavily choreographed like previous efforts.
The 'Toxic' star kicked off her 'Femme Fatale' tour in the US last night, which includes a setlist compiled of old and new hits, as well as covers of Rihanna and Madonna tracks.
Spears will complete a UK leg of the tour later this year.
