The London-born rapper, who is currently number one with his new single 'Changed The Way You Kissed Me', will play Camden's Roundhouse on July 27.
Speaking about the show to Metro, the 29-year-old singer revealed: "We have already invested in new production and lighting. I am turning up to most festivals this year with my own lights.
"Most people don't really do that until you're headlining but I just want to make a big impact now, I want to set a precedent, make a statement about what I am all about."
The chart-topping singer clashed with fellow popstar Alexandra Burke on Twitter earlier this week, with the pair trading a number of jibes at each other across the social networking site.
"I just put something out yesterday saying it was my birthday, I'll be 29, that's actually my real age, a lot of people think the music industry have PR ages," he explained.
"Obviously everyone knows that Alexandra Burke is not 41. I know that she is not 41. To be honest so do most people. She seems to have taken it all to heart and got really, really upset.
"She sent me about seven abusive tweets in a row - which is just amazing! She has gone from being some kind of international popstar straight back to playground street slang."
The iTunes Festival will play host to 62 acts over 31 days, with tickets being free and available to apply for online and through the iTunes Festival app.
Adele, Arctic Monkeys, Foo Fighters, Coldplay, My Chemical Romance and The Wanted will also play at the event.
