The track, 'God Is Counting On Us', was apparently written by Seeger in response to last year's Gulf Coast oil spill and will appear on his upcoming studio LP.
Springsteen and Seeger's duet marks the latest in a long-running series of collaborations between the two politically-minded musicians.
Seeger's next album is expected to be released at Christmas.
Springsteen's 2006 album We Shall Overcome featured the rocker covering many of Seeger's most well-known songs as well as several other folk anthems.
The E Street Band frontman's saxophonist Clarence Clemons died of complications from a stroke last week, drawing public remembrances from Springsteen, Janet Jackson and Coldplay.
