The singer has accused the organisers of intentionally leaking his name as a possible headliner to help sell tickets for the popular festival.
"They use my name to sell the festival," Prince told The Guardian recently. "It's illegal."
This past weekend saw Glastonbury headlined by U2, Coldplay and Beyoncé. However, founder Michael Eavis recently admitted that Prince had been his first choice for this year's lineup.
The 'Purple Rain' singer had also been rumoured as a potential replacement for Jay-Z back in 2008, but Prince has claimed that he has never been approached about headlining the festival.
"I've never spoken to anyone about doing that concert, ever," he added.
Prince will perform at Hop Farm Festival at the start of July, in what will reportedly be a two-and-a-half hour set.
