Plan B to celebrate Jack Daniel's birthday with Tennessee gig

Plan B will head to Lynchburg, Tennessee this October to perform at a birthday gig for whiskey connoisseur Jack Daniel's.

The 'She Said' singer will be joined by a collection of soul legends at the event, which is due to take place on October 15.

No exact birth date is known for Jack Daniels, but the whiskey distillery believe that it is some point in September and so dedicate the whole month to celebrating the birth of its founder.

The October show is an annual concert - titled 'Mr Jack's Birthday - which serves to finish off the celebrations in style.

Plan B - real name Ben Drew - will be joined by Jack Daniel's house musicians The New Silver Cornet Band, which is led by Nashville producer Jon Tiven.

"I'm really honoured to be deemed worthy enough of singing and working alongside such legendary musicians and songwriters at Mr Jack's birthday in Tennessee this autumn," Plan B explained.

Fans are able to win tickets to the event through the official Jack Daniel's Facebook page.

Plan B covered hits by Paolo Nutini and Seal for his performance on the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury over the weekend.
