Published Thursday, May 11 2006, 00:25 BST | By Peter Stiff
Jack White has hit back at criticism from fans labelling him a sell out over his involvement in a Coca-Cola advert.
The White Stripes frontman has faced a backlash from fans feeling betrayed after he promised he would never do a commercial.
The singer turned down an offer from Gap in 2001, to let one of his songs be used on a TV ad.
However, White stated he was "inspired" by the Coke ad and thus wanted to write a tune to accompany it.
