The former Culture Club frontman - real name George O'Dowd - said that he related with the 'Rehab' singer's plight with alcoholism, according to the Daily Star.
Addressing Winehouse, Boy George said: "Come to a meeting babe, do you know how loved you are?"
The 'Do You Really Want To Hurt Me?' hitmaker added: "Step one is about that realisation. I hope I don't sound judgmental because I am not."
Speaking about Winehouse's much-criticised performance in Belgrade, he added: "Watching that was truly absolutely heart-breaking stuff.
"I don't know why people put it on YouTube. I would just go home and cry."
