Guns 'N' Roses frontman Axl Rose has confirmed that the long-awaited album Chinese Democracy will finally be released in the autumn.

The announcement came on a surprise radio show appearance in the US alongside Skid Row's Sebastian Bach.

The album, the final in GNRs long list of successes, has been over ten years in the making but Rose promised that the release date would be "sometime this fall or late fall" before adding categorically, "It will be out this year."

Axl also suggested that guitarist Izzy Stradlin may be joining the band for their New York shows.
