Mortimer shocked at Girls Aloud cover

East 17's Tony Mortimer has revealed that he was shocked to hear Girls Aloud had covered 'Stay Another Day'.
The songwriter said that he was surprised to see that the girls had given the song a romantic slant, considering the song was written about his brother's suicide.
Mortimer insists that he loves the girl band, but wishes they had left the deeply personal song alone.
He said: "I found it really odd they were singing a song about my dead brother. It should've been left alone for a few years. I love Girls Aloud, although I prefer to watch them rather than listen to them.
"If we ever do a big tour they'd be the first band I'd ask to come on the road with us."
