The track, produced by Breakage, is taken from Mills's debut album, which is due for release at the beginning of 2012 through Island Records.
The clip sees the singer-songwriter dressed in blue flowing fabrics performing the song in a barren field.
Mills has cited The Cure and Radiohead among her musical influences and said that she drew inspiration from them for her new material.
"I totally get the frenetic madness of raving and I wanted to apply that euphoric vibe to the songs - even though they're not out-and-out club tracks," she explained.
"The goal for me is to lace that spirit of electronic music into traditional songs, while applying the more emotive elements of music I've loved all my life to create something that could hopefully resonate with people on lots of different levels."
Mills previously collaborated with dubstep producer James Breakage on his single 'Fighting Fire', which was released in February.
Mills has been confirmed to appear at a number of UK festivals this summer, including sets at Victoria Park's Lovebox in London in July and the Isle of Wight's Bestival in September.
'Live For What I'd Die For' is available to download now, with an official impact date slated for August 1.
