Bill Bailey has teased a cover version of Metallica's 'Enter Sandman' ahead of his appearance at this year's Sonisphere festival.

The comedian will make his main stage festival debut with a full live band when he headlines the Saturn Stage on Sunday, July 10. Metallica are due to headline the main Apollo Stage on July 8.

Bailey recorded a special video message for the band, in case they "couldn't make it for any reason".

He and his band then perform a short instrumental version of 'Enter Sandman', complete with Bailey on horns.

"This is the gig I've been waiting for all my life," he told Kerrang.

"It will be the first time I'll have played on the main stage at a music festival. It's fantastic and very exciting for me because it's my kind of festival with all the kinds of music that I like."

Bailey recently described talent shows such as The X Factor and Britain's Got Talent as "corrosive".
