Noel Gallagher's new band High Flying Birds have revealed details about their self-titled debut album.

The former Oasis guitarist will release the record on October 17 through his own independent label Sour Mash Records.

Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds is the first of two albums already recorded, with the second LP being his ongoing collaborative project with Amorphous Androgynous, which will be released in 2012.

The self-titled debut will consist of ten tracks and include songs titled 'Stop The Clocks', 'If I Had A Gun' and 'The Death Of You And Me', which is rumoured to be the record's trailer single.

The album was recorded in London at the end of 2010 and finished in Los Angeles at the beginning of this year. It was produced by Gallagher and Dave Sardy, who previously worked with Oasis on 2005's Don't Believe The Truth and 2008's Dig Out Your Soul.

Talking about his split from Oasis and his brother Liam Gallagher, Noel explained: "I hadn't had enough of Oasis, I had had enough of Liam."
