The performance, posted on YouTube by an audience member, was dedicated to two of the singer's backing dancers who were celebrating their anniversary.
Cyrus has covered the likes on Nirvana's 'Smells Like Teen Spirit' and Fleetwood Mac's 'Landslide' in the past.
However, the video currently has more 'dislikes' than 'likes' on YouTube, with entertainment blog Buzzfeed saying: "This happened because you let it happen, America."
A young fan recently stormed onto the stage during a Miley Cyrus concert in order to get close to the star.
