Muse ask Richard Branson to film music video in space

Muse frontman Matt Bellamy has revealed that he is trying and convince Richard Branson to let the band film a music video on a Virgin Galactic flight.

The singer, who is known for being a keen astronomer, admitted that he wants record a song or video on the airline, which is due to launch in the coming years and will offer passengers the chance to experience zero gravity.

"We're trying to blag a free trip on [Virgin Galactic]. I'm going to try to convince Richard Branson to let us make a music video or record a song up there," Contactmusic quotes Matt Bellamy as saying.

"I think that would be cool. Would I be scared? I think I'll be alright."

Speaking further about his fascination with the solar system, he revealed that Muse fans in Moscow bought him a telescope, adding: "It's a big, real, serious piece. I set it up when I got home and looked at the moon.

"F**king hell, have you ever looked at the moon through a telescope? It's all mountains and stuff, it's unbelievable."

Muse will headline this year's Reading and Leeds festivals in August, using the set to perform their 2001 album Origin of Symmetry for the last time.
