The Irish rockers revealed that the 'Pass Out' rapper - who is working on the follow-up to his number one debut album Disc-Overy - is easy to get on with.
"We have recently written some songs together with Tinie," band member Mark Sheehan told the Daily Star. "Every now and again you meet artists you just click with, and he's one."
Glen Power added: "We really get on with the guy – he is so down-to-earth and we love hanging out with him. He's just normal."
The Script said that although the collaboration may surprise some fans, the band have studied hip-hop music in the past.
Sheehan explained: "Some people might think it is an interesting hook-up but that kind of music is our background.
"We studied R&B and hip-hop for ten years in America with Dallas Austin. However, I don't know about bringing more hip-hop into The Script for album three.
"If a song called for it and it was a natural fit we'd do it, but we definitely don't wanna do it just for the sake of it. It has to be right."
Tempah recently worked with US rapper Wiz Khalifa for his new single 'Till I'm Gone'.
The Script and Tinie Tempah performed to thousands of festival-goers at T in the Park this past weekend.
