A pair of British teenage girls have topped the UK new music download chart with their first release.
Pretty Green – consisting of Diabla, from Bristol, and Mercedes, from Cardiff - released Waiting for Never to see what response it would get.
They have clearly built up a strong online following, however, as the song – recorded three weeks ago – shot to the top of the midweek UK Music Week chart.
Diabla commented: "We were really, really happy when we found out how well the song had done."
It is an emotional ballad, but the pair promise upcoming album Soar Dust will feature a wide range of styles.
