Blondie have revealed that they want to record a dance track similar to LMFAO's music.

The group, who are gearing up to release their new album Panic of Girls in September, said that they are keen to put out a "current" sound similar to the duo's worldwide hit 'Party Rock Anthem'.

Debbie Harry is quoted by Contactmusic as saying: "One of the things I would like to do before I'm too old to do it - which could be very soon - is a video where I do a lot of dancing like LMFAO.

"That is my great ambition. I'm deeply involved with being current, and that's the most important thing to me right now."

Guitarist Chris Stein added: "That video is one of the best dance videos I've ever seen. Their dancing is so tight."

Blondie's Panic of Girls will be the band's first studio album in eight years.
