The rapper told BBC Radio 1 that he wants to take his "artist hat off". His most recent release was with his group Diddy-Dirty Money, featuring Dawn Richards and Kalenna Harper.
"[Right now] it's about supporting Dawn and Kalenna on their solo projects and the rest of the Bad Boy projects," he said.
However, Richards later declared that she doubts the rapper will be taking much time off, saying: "Puff said he's chilling, which is a first for me - he ain't going to be chilling. Kalenna and I are working on our solo projects but I don't believe Puff at all about chilling."
Diddy-Dirty Money will perform at Wembley Arena tonight alongside Kelis, Eliza Doolittle and others as part of Orange Rock Corps.
Diddy recently changed his name temporarily to Swag in celebration of his recovery from a severe fever.
