The Great Escape Artist will be released on September 26 by Capitol Records. It will be the band's first album since 2003's Strays.
Frontman Perry Farrell revealed that the LP will mix the group's classic sound with the styles of current acts such as Muse and Radiohead.
"It's a strange mixture of that post-punk goth darkness that Jane's had, with what's going on today with groups like Muse and Radiohead," he said.
"As much as I want to appease fans and make old Jane's fans love me, I just can't help myself from moving forward."
Farrell recently revealed his desire for the band to stay innovative with their music.
Jane's Addiction will headline this year's Lollapolooza festival with Eminem from August 5 to 7 at Chicago's Grant Park.
