The 'Beautiful' singer, who has just finished a stint as a mentor on NBC series The Voice, confirmed that her next record will not be released before the end of the year.
Aguilera told RTL: "It's going to be a very heartfelt, deep-rooted and introspective record for me. We're hoping for release in spring/summer next year."
The 30-year-old singer-songwriter currently features on Maroon 5's new single 'Moves Like Jagger' and filmed a guest appearance for the accompanying video last week.
A brand new track titled 'La Casa', which was recorded by Aguilera entirely in Spanish, will feature in Will Ferrell's new movie La Casa de Mi Padre later this year.
