The band released the promo through their official Vevo account earlier today. The video sees the rock four-piece dressed in black performing in front of a white background.
The clip was directed by conceptual designer Aitor Throup, marking the beginning of a new creative relationship between Kasabian and the designer.
'Switchblade Smiles' is the first single to be lifted from Kasabian's upcoming fourth studio album Velociraptor!, which will be released on September 19.
Kasabian guitarist Serge Pizzorno recently explained that 'Switchblade Smiles' was inspired by an interview with Morgan Freeman that he once watched.
The group will headline an iTunes Festival gig at London's Roundhouse on July 29.
