The 'Easy Please Me' star will take to the stage at the event, taking place at Glasgow's SECC on October 5.
The ceremony will mark the 16th year of the awards, which annually celebrates music of black origin.
JLS and Nelly were among the acts who performed at last year's event at Liverpool's Echo Arena, which was hosted by Alesha Dixon and Reggie Yates.
More announcements regarding this year's award ceremony will be made later this week.

Katy B was yesterday nominated for a Mercury Prize for her debut album On A Mission.
She has confessed that she would like to see a female artist win the prestigious accolade this year.
