The singer will unveil a ten-track record titled What Matters Most - Barbra Streisand Sings The Lyrics of Alan and Marilyn Bergman on August 22.
The album will be released through Columbia Records and has been exclusively written by Streisand's long-time collaborators Alan and Marilyn Bergman.
It will serve as the follow-up to the 69-year-old star's 2009 album Love Is the Answer, which topped the album charts in the UK and US, making Streisand the first artist to achieve number one albums in five consecutive decades.
The new album, which Streisand has produced herself, will include an array of classic songs including the Academy Award-winning 'The Windmills of Your Mind', which featured in the 1968 film The Thomas Crown Affair.
Streisand revealed earlier this year that she feels "honoured" that Lea Michelle's character Rachel Berry in TV show Glee is a huge fan of her work.
