Charlie Simpson announces UK tour dates

Charlie Simpson has announced plans to embark on a UK tour later this year.

The singer-songwriter, who will release his new solo single 'Parachutes' on August 8, will play eight dates in the UK during October.

Simpson will start in Bristol on October 19 and conclude the string of shows in Brighton on October 28.

The 26-year-old will tour his upcoming debut album Young Pilgrim, which will become available on August 15.

Simpson will preview some of his new material during his slot at this year's Boardmasters Festival in Cornwall between August 10 and14.

• October 19 - Bristol, Anson Rooms


• October 20 - Wolverhampton, Slade Rooms


• October 21 - Norwich, Waterfront


• October 23 - Glasgow, Garage


• October 24 - Leeds, Cockpit


• October 26 - Manchester, Academy 2


• October 27 - London, Islington Academy


• October 28 - Brighton, Concorde 2
