Guitarist Johnny Marr has supervised the remastering from the original tapes, with all eight albums being released on September 26.
The albums, including their 1984 self-titled debut album, 1985's Meat is Murder and their 1988 live album Rank, will be released on both CD and 12" vinyl.
"I'm very happy that the remastered versions of The Smiths albums are finally coming out," Marr said. "I wanted to get them sounding right and remove any processing so that they now sound as they did when they were originally made. I'm pleased with the results."
There will also be a limited edition super-deluxe version, with only 3,000 copies available. It will include all eight albums on both CD and 12", rare artwork, a DVD of their music videos, 25 7" singles, eight high-quality 12" prints of the album sleeves and a large poster.
Marr quit The Cribs earlier this year to work on his solo career.
The Smiths' frontman Morrissey caused controversy earlier today by saying that the fast food industry is worse than the attacks in Norway.
