Rob Da Bank has revealed a wishlist of artists that he would like to book for Bestival.

The festival organiser and DJ told Digital Spy that he had wanted this year's headliners The Cure to appear for the last seven years.

He added that he would love to have Dolly Parton, Prince or Kate Bush play the festival in future years, and would also welcome a return from Kraftwerk with their new 3D show. This year's event takes place from September 8 to September 11 at Robin Hill Country Park, Isle of Wight.

Asked if Robert Smith of The Cure and Crystal Castles would perform their cover of Platinum Blonde's 'Not In Love' at this year's festival, he said: "I don't actually know myself yet. I think the question will be asked because they're obviously on just before The Cure.

"Japanese Popstars are playing and they've done a thing with Robert Smith. We've had lots of other bands playing who have either tenuous or quite strong links to The Cure as well, so it's one of those things I don't think I'll probably know until the day."

Da Bank continued: "Robert Smith's not on stage until 8.30pm, 9pm on Saturday night so I've got a feeling that he might not want to appear before that, but that's just a gut feeling. I don't know, he may be in a good party mood and he might want to play with everyone!"

Of his role as curator of London's Bulmers Cider Garden v1 this month, Da Bank said: "They've got me involved because they've launched a new experimental cider. To tie in with that they want musical acts and DJ and happenings with that experimental sort of vibe.

"It'll be a series of parties running on the South Bank in London over the next month, so I'm pretty excited. It's like a pop up. I get to programme things, which is my favourite thing, choosing music, DJs and stuff, and then basically putting on a party each night and hoping that people like what I've chosen."

Rob Da Bank is inviting people to visit the Bulmers Cider Garden v1 and take part in a series of fun experiments to find the ultimate cider drinking experience on London's South Bank (Riverside Walkway, by Gabriel's Wharf) from August 3 to August 14.
