Jennifer Hudson performed a birthday surprise at a fundraiser concert for Barack Obama on Wednesday.
The Dream Girls star performed a rendition of the Beatles classic 'Let It Be' at a special Democratic Party fundraiser in Chicago, which was held the evening before the US president's 50th birthday.
Hudson then sang 'Happy Birthday' to Obama as he walked out on to the stage to a rapturous response from the crowd.
Jazz singer Herbie Hancock and rock band OK GO were among the other performers at the event. Tickets to the charity show cost $35,800 (£21,983) per person, according to TNT magazine.
Hudson has previously admitted that she doesn't like meeting people she admires as they never live up to her expectations.
