Duhamel's childhood home was destroyed when floods struck the city in June, prompting the actor to become honorary chairman of the Minot Area Community Foundation Recovery Fund.
The Transformers: Dark of the Moon star commented that the Black Eyed Peas' September charity gig will help Minot's recovery.
"People from Minot are strong and come together in a time of need, and I know they'll get through this. But with everyone's help, we can make it easier for them to restore their lives and the surrounding Minot area," Duhamel said. "I can't express how grateful I am to the Black Eyed Peas for their incredible support."
Fergie insisted that she is very happy to be aiding in Minot's recovery efforts, saying: "I'm thrilled that the Black Eyed Peas will be playing a show for those that lost their homes in the Minot floods.
"My husband's family was terribly affected and it brings me great joy that we are able to do our part to raise funds and help rebuild the city together."
The Black Eyed Peas benefit concert will be held on September 3 at North Dakota State Fair Grandstand.
Tickets for the event are on sale from August 12.
Black Eyed Peas frontman will.i.am will also perform a special show in China later this year to promote the Obama administration's 100,000 Strong education programme.
