The Australian rock band decided to add a third date at the Rod Laver Arena on Friday, December 9 after the first two performances sold out almost immediately.
Tickets to the new concert are on sale today.
Last month, Cold Chisel's frontman Jimmy Barnes was ordered by doctors to rest for at least a month after experiencing heart problems. He cancelled his solo tour and is now resting in preparation for the band's tour in October.
The group recently announced that they are currently reworking six studio and four live albums for re-release, breaking records in Australian music history.
Shortly after Cold Chisel announced their comeback tour, drummer Steve Prestwich died from a brain tumour. The remaining bandmates said that they were "shattered by the loss". They later asked US musician Charley Drayton to join them as a replacement drummer.
