Aerosmith bassist Tom Hamilton has "radical" cancer surgery

The musician was first diagnosed with cancer of the tongue in 2006, but declared he was free of the disease after having radiotherapy.
However, Hamilton confirmed earlier this year that the cancer had returned, and had also spread to his throat.
According to Ksat.com, Hamilton underwent "radical" cancer treatment earlier this week, which has been a success with no reports of damage to his voice or breathing passage.
Aerosmith are said to have started work on their 15th studio album, after being delayed for several years due to tension within the group and Steven Tyler joining American Idol.
