The former Guns N' Roses member is currently working in the studio for the new release, and told fans about the duet on his Twitter page.
"Just finished a session with Mike Clink engineering on a track with Mary J. Blige," he wrote. "Sounds killer!"
Slash has previously provided his guitar skills to other female singers including Rihanna and Fergie in recent years. His debut self-titled solo album was released last year, and featured the likes of Ozzy Osbourne, Adam Levine and Kid Rock.
The musician recently finished a world tour, including several gigs in the UK. He revealed earlier this year that he would consider a reunion with Guns N' Roses.
Mary J Blige recently said that she hopes to forge a successful acting career.
