The Camp Rock star shared the news with fans of her Twitter account after teasing them with a countdown.
Unbroken will be released September 20.
Lovato posted the album's name alongside a photograph of herself posing at a photoshoot wearing a furry jacket and long black skirt. She had told followers earlier this week that she was shooting the artwork for the album.
Unbroken is the follow-up to her sophomore release Here We Go Again, which followed debut record Don't Forget.
Eva Longoria, who stars alongside Lovato's younger sister Madison in Desperate Housewives, was one of the first people to tweet their reaction to the title and photo, telling Lovato that it was "gorgeous".
Unbroken has already spawned the single 'Skyscraper', which topped the iTunes chart on its release last month. Lovato has also been working on music with Timbaland.
Speaking about the album in a recent video chat with fans, Lovato said: "It's definitely more pop, it's not the pop-rock feel anymore. I'm showcasing my vocals a lot more like I did on [my new single] 'Skyscraper' and feeling really comfortable with what we have so far."
