The dubstep act - consisting of Joe Ray and Daniel Stephens - said that they would be interested in writing the score for a sci-fi film after completing their new futuristic concept album Welcome Reality.
Speaking to Digital Spy, Stephens explained: "We did the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra collaboration which was called 'Symphony 2808' - it was actually 'Dubstep Symphony' for a while but we've taken it away from that because it wasn't very dubsteppy!
"We wanted to write a score that included electronic music and contained some of the themes from our album with an orchestra."
He continued: "It's got a similar kind of theory to Daft Punk's Tron: Legacy soundtrack, which clashed together cinematic Hollywood-styled scores with electronic instruments.
"It's very much an avenue we'd like to pursue in the future."
When asked if they had any films in mind that they would like to work on, Stephens said: "Apparently there is talk of a Blade Runner 2 production, which would be amazing to work on.
"Apparently there's also a film version of Akira, which would be cool. Just those sort of sci-fi films really - that's what our stuff would suit most."
Nero topped the UK singles chart with their new track 'Promises' on Sunday. Their new album Welcome Reality went on sale today.
