AC/DC's former bass player Mark Evans has released a tell-all book called Dirty Deeds.

The former musician, who appeared in the original line-up of the Australian rock group alongside brothers Angus and Malcolm Young, was sacked in 1977 amid rumours that he had never got on with Angus.

Evans told The Daily Telegraph: "I certainly had issues with Angus but everyone did. Angus is Angus and I have respect for the guy, for what he has achieved.

"His and Mal's commitment to that band is amazing. They are so single-minded and the level of commitment they demanded - [it] was easy to fall short of that."

Evans explained that he stayed friends with his former bandmates at first, but fell out with them when he left their label Alberts.

"If I regret anything over the whole AC/DC situation, it's losing some friendships over it," he said. "I would love to have contact with the guys again."

In the book, which is out in shops now, Evans also reveals how he felt when his daughter Kristin was killed by a cement truck while cycling to her job in Amsterdam in 2007.

An AC/DC special edition of Monopoly was recently released and the band have also decided to launch their own range of wines.
