The X Factor boyband will release their debut track 'What Makes You Beautiful' on September 11. McFly drummer Harry Judd confessed that his band wishes they had recorded it themselves.
"They're young, like when we started, so it makes me feel old. But it's a compliment to us if people think they sound like early McFly," Judd told the Daily Star.
"I wish we had their new single for ourselves – it's fresh."
McFly singer Tom Fletcher believes that the pop teens can become a successful act after meeting them to work on a song in the recording studio.
Fletcher explained: "They're a really likeable bunch of guys and they've got everything it takes to hit the big time.
"They've recorded a song I wrote for them – I just hope they use it."

Poynter added: "Music goes full cycle so it'll come back round for McFly, but the urban thing has made it hard for us to stay relevant. We don't move with the trends."
The band said last month that they have already started thinking about plans for the follow-up to 2010 record Above The Noise.
Meanwhile, One Direction have released two teasers for their new music video, which is due to premiere on August 19.
