Vampire Weekend settle lawsuit with 'Contra' cover model

Ann Kirsten Kennis filed a $2 million (£1.3m) suit against Vampire Weekend and its label XL Recordings, asserting that her signature on a consent form was forged by photographer Tod Brody.
The photo of Kennis, which was taken in the 1980s, had also been used to promote Vampire Weekend's 2010 tour.
Kennis has now filed a motion to dismiss the case after reaching an undisclosed settlement with Vampire Weekend, Photo District News reports.
Vampire Weekend are currently counter-suing photographer Brody over the dispute and charge that he bears full responsibility for the apparent misuse of Kennis's likeness.
A rep for Vampire Weekend chose not to comment on the settlement.
Vampire Weekend's Contra hit number one on the US album chart and reached the top five in the UK upon its release in 2010.
