The Turn It Up star, who is headlining this year's Radio 1 Teen Awards, worked with Wonder for the forthcoming track 'Til The Wheels Fall Off'.
Lott told Seven Days magazine: "I could feel my eyes tearing up when we met him. He was such a gentleman, so warm and friendly.
"Everyone says you shouldn't meet your idols because you'll be disappointed but I wasn't."
Lott, 20, has also announced collaborations with John Legend and Tinchy Stryder.
She previously described the sound of her upcoming album as "pop stuff, but maybe a little more soulful" in an interview with Digital Spy.
