The 'Skyscraper' singer entered a rehabilitation facility in October of last year to seek treatment for "emotional and physical issues". She was forced to cut her tour with the Jonas Brothers short in order to check into the facility.
Lovato has not performed in public since then, but today announced that she will play three shows in September to promote her forthcoming studio album Unbroken.
"This will be the first time I've been on stage for about a year, which is just, like, unfathomable to me because I've been performing non-stop since I was, like, 15," she told Ryan Seacrest's KIIS-FM radio show.
"I'm getting back onstage for the first time after everything has happened. It'll be interesting to see how nervous I am up there."
Lovato will perform twice in New York on September 17 and 18 at the Hammerstein Ballroom and once in Los Angeles on September 23 at the Nokia Theater.
The 19-year-old recently described her newly-released track 'Skyscraper' as her cry for help, saying that she hopes the song will inspire her fans to get help for any issues they may have.
