The band are due to headline Leeds on Friday and Reading on Sunday at this weekend's music event.
They have confirmed plans to play their second studio album The Origin Of Symmetry in full at the festivals, to celebrate its tenth anniversary.
However, bassist Chris Wolstenholme has warned fans not to expect any new songs as they have yet to rehearse or record them.
Wolstenholme told the Daily Star: "Origin was an important album because it propelled us into being the live band we are today.
"Things really took off after that record. In the early days, opinion was divided, but by the time Origin came around we put all our efforts into trying to sound like we did live on record."
He added: "We were still playing in small venues and didn't have any money so we couldn't be extravagant with production or anything."
Wolstenholme went on to say that their stage plans always have to be scaled down as they are so ambitious they could serve as a danger to them.
"There are so many health and safety rules that 80% of what we suggest gets shot down immediately. What we do live is a scaled-down version of what we'd really like," he said.
"There are some darker songs on Origin that are often forgotten, like 'Micro Cuts', 'Space Dementia', 'Megalomania' and 'Screenager', which show a different side to the band.
"They're the ones that I'm really looking forward to playing live at Reading and Leeds."
The musician concluded by shooting down rumours of new songs on the way, saying: "We've not rehearsed any new stuff as Matt's got a baby now and we haven't had time to get in the studio."
