According to Heat, the relationship between the five girlband members has increasingly deteriorated, putting their planned 2012 reunion at risk.
"It's bad," a supposed insider claimed. "The girls are struggling to even sit in one room together these days, let alone share a stage.
"They've all changed and grown apart. They have little in common anymore. Kimberley [Walsh] is probably the only one vaguely up for it.
"There's career jealousy, jealousy about how they look, who looks the youngest and who's the skinniest, who's got the best relationship... the list goes on. It's hard to know where to start."
Since the band went on a break in 2009, Cheryl Cole has released two solo albums - 3 Words in 2009 and last year's Messy Little Raindrops.
Nadine Coyle released Insatiable this year and recently relaunched her solo career as Nadine 2.0.

Walsh featured on Aggro Santos single 'Like U Like' last year and was yesterday confirmed as Amanda Holden's replacement in Shrek The Musical from October 5.
Sarah Harding has focused on acting and fashion since Girls Aloud went on hiatus and is rumoured to be working on new music with DJ Roger Sanchez.
Nicola Roberts released her solo debut single 'Beat Of My Drum' in June and releases album Cinderella's Eyes on September 26.
The alleged source added to the magazine: "Nicola sees herself as very 'cool' these days. She's done a lot of work to change her image from top to toe."

It is also claimed that Cole's decision to reunite with her ex-husband Ashley has caused friction and that Roberts is "tired of being a counsellor" for her bandmate. Walsh is also said to be upset that Coyle did not visit Cole when they were both in LA at the same time.
"The girls often discuss how Nadine effectively ended the band," another source said. "She's no longer a friend - she hasn't called them in almost a year.
"Nadine doesn't seem to want anything to do with the girls anymore. She says she hates how Cheryl's made a name for herself in the States."
