The US comedian and television personality, who was nominated for a Television Critics Award earlier this year, has announced that he will host a Q&A session with the band's remaining members on September 24 this year.
According to The AP, the two-hour event will feature interviews with former Nirvana musicians Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic, and Butch Vig, the producer behind the album.
SiriusXM radio are also planning to mark the anniversary by launching an all-Nirvana music channel called Nevermind Radio from September 23 until September 28.
It was recently revealed that an exhibition to celebrate the anniversary will be held in London's Brick Lane next month. The event will feature rare photos, memorabilia and artefacts relating to the band and the album.
A limited amount of copies of the Nevermind album will also be repackaged with B-sides, rare demos and a fully remastered copy of the original album.
