The band took to the main stage at this year's music event at around 5.20pm to entertain fans with a collection of tracks from their first two studio albums.
Walking out on stage, the St. Albans trio kick started their set with 'Lovesick'. Frontman Ed Macfarlane treated the crowds to his unique style of dancing and at one point jumped down from the stage to perform just metres from the front row of spectators.
After renditions of 'Jump In The Pool', 'Blue Cassette' and their debut single 'On Board', the group were joined by a handful of female dancers on stage.
The hula dancers appeared alongside the band throughout their performance of recent single 'Hawaiian Air', which is from their second studio album Pala.
Rounding off the set, Macfarlane told the crowds: "Reading, thank you very much for having us."
Friendly Fires then concluded their eveing slot with their 2007 hit 'Paris' and fan-favourite 'Kiss of Life'.
The band recently announced plans to embark on an 11-date tour of the UK later this year.
