The Leicester rockers - who are currently preparing for the release of their new album Velociraptor! on September 19 - recently bemoaned their lack of rivals.
Asked if the band were hoping to achieve super-stardom, Pizzorno said: "I think so, yeah. We are. We're the last band left, really. There are not many rock bands left. So it's up to us in a lot of ways."
Singer Tom Meighan also added that the group are attempting to conquer Europe, raising their profile from a cult band by embarking on a rigourous touring schedule.
He explained: "We're a bit of a cult band in Europe, but I think things are starting to look better. The Arctic Monkeys are the same as us out in Europe and other bands apart from the obvious giants like Coldplay, U2 or Kings of Leon."
Kasabian recently said that their new album Velociraptor! was partly inspired by cartoons such as Tom and Jerry.
