Prince Harry TV documentary soundtrack receives release

The soundtrack to Prince Harry's Arctic Heroes has been given a general release to raise money for charity.

The score, which was written by Grammy Award-winning composer Lorne Balfe, accompanied the BBC documentary which aired over two episodes earlier this month.

The prince joined severely injured Afghan veterans on their expedition to the North Pole to raise money for the Walking with the Wounded charity.

A percentage of the profits accumulated for the sales of Balfe's composition will also be donated to the cause.

Lorne wrote the 13 compositions after meeting Captain Martin Hewitt and Private Jaco Van Gass earlier this year and speaking to them about their time on the frontline in Afghanistan and their epic journey north.

The musician has worked on a number of high-profile projects in the past including Hollywood blockbusters The Dark Knight and Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest.
