Dixie Chicks want to play in Iraq
Published Saturday, Jun 3 2006, 19:41 BST | By Peter Stiff
The Dixie Chicks want to prove their patriotism by playing to US troops in Iraq.
The trio came under fire in 2003 when they attacked US president George Bush for sending troops to Iraq.
"I used to think they wouldn't want us to come," said lead singer Natalie Maines.
"If people wanted us to go, we'd gladly go," said fellow chick Emily Robinson.
